Stock 18 Wheels - How wide of tires can I go with?

Hi,

I have the stock 18 inch staggered wheels. I currently have 225-45-19 - 245-45-18 set up.

However, I need new tires.

Can I go with 245-45-18 & 275-45-18 tires with the stock wheels? Or will that be to wide? Appreciate your replies. Thanks

The stock 18's wheels aren't staggered - they're 8 inches wide front and rear. The tires, however, are staggered.

The widest recommended tire for an 8 is a 255. You have options to either go with a square setup or something like 245/255 combo.

275 on an 8...

Have you ever seen a 275/45 tire? It's like a truck tire.

If you increase the tread width you NEED to decrease the profile.

You would also trip your VDC if you ran those sizes because they are totally different size of tires. I suggest you research tire a little more.
