spacers question

I know what hub centric is but i see some vendors here selling hub centric and non hub centric spacers. Ex: HR and Ichiba have a hc design and CZ doesnt.

At 25 to 30mm do u need the HC rings?

Aftermarket wheels or stock wheels?

Without just makes mounting them perfect kinda suck, but most wheels are lug centric anyways, meaning the lugs pull the wheel perfectly balanced when they seat.

Volks. I know some cars like BMW are hub centric sensitive. But i dont think the G35 is. Just wondering what u all thought since some of the spacers in the vendors section here arent HC.

Unless the spacer has built in studs there is no way to center the spacer. Well unless the holes for the studs are drilled specifically for the lug pattern (not universal 5 lug).

My Brother works for a large tire retailer and a lot of vibration problems (where customers have put spacers on) are cured by removing the cheaper spacer and/or replacing them with a hub centric spacer.

Those are different then what I was thinking of. Those should self-center as you torque the nuts down on the spacer. For whatever reason I was thinking of a spacer without built-in studs. Those are about the same price as I paid for my ichiba hubcentric spacers.

You can't get a universal spacer in 25mm or 30mm

I too worked for a shop that dealt with people that don't know what they're doing. Even if something doesn't have hub rings, it can still be mounted straight with a little skill.

I wasnt aware of the size limitations of universal spacers. Ive never needed to look. Good to know.

I agree on the second part as well.
