Varrstoen (te reps) in +22 or +12 with tein s techs for g35 coupe?
Posted this on a different thread but have a feeling it might not be seen..
Not sure if this has been covered yet here and im sure it has. I have been doing research for the 7 months ive owned my 2005 G Coupe so im not just being lazy and i am still indecisive on what will work best for me. Any help is appreciated!
I am ordering some Varrstoen 2.2.2 (TE REPS) and im going with 245/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear. The issue i have is i dont know which offset to go with. I will be lowering the G coupe 1 inch on Tein S Techs made for the G35. I have seen pics of the +22 offset and it still looks kind of sunken in the wheel well..but when looking at real te37s the +22 looks perfect. I love the look of the Varrstoen TE Reps in +12 offset all around but it looks best on on a G with a more slammed look which i will not be going with yet since the rears will poke past the fender. I think the G S techs will leave about a finger gap all around and i would have to roll the rear fenders to fit the +12 which i wouldnt mind but i cant seem to find a place that rolls fender in my area.I will be getting a rear SPC camber/toe kit and want to have my alignment as clost to OEM as possible so keep that in mind.. (Chattanooga Tennessee) So what will look best with just a 1 inch drop and OEM camber settings atleast in the rear?
any input?

as much as id like to believe camber is my friend and as much as id love to run sick camber so i could slam it id like to keep tires for more than 6 months haha
thats why im having a difficult time. i saw you have +12 2.2.2's but i thought your thread with pics said you ran 275/30/19 in the rear and thats probably why you dont rub...i want to run a 35 series..you have any pics now that your on H&R's?(for the g35 im guessing and not for the Z) pics would help alot!and what kind of camber are you running since you dont rub? cause im getting a rear camber kit and want to run as close to OEM as possible. i just dont want the wheel/tire sticking to far out of the fenders since i will still have some fender gap and itll probably look horrible. The vendors and some members all say you will have to roll rears to fit the +12. This is my DD about 150 miles a week.
thank you for the replies so far!

i guess this all depends if your going for an aggressive fitment or not which then you start to compromise wheel life due to increased camber. Not sure if the wheel sticking out past fender will end up bugging me...would i be better off buying +22 and then getting some 5mm spacers to fit more flush if im not satisfied?
would i be able to stay within OEM camber setting with +12? the black G35 is +22 and silver G35 is +12(as you can see the wheels/tires stick out past fenderhttp://i983.photobucket.com/albums/a...G_4654500W.jpg http://i983.photobucket.com/albums/a...ilverangle.jpg http://i983.photobucket.com/albums/a...er19angle2.jpg
and this pic below is +12(notice the camber set to be able to clear fender)http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...tos/wheel3.jpg

I'll take some pics today with the H&R on. I really think that you should go with the +12...I am so glad that I did and I will never look back. Anyone who knows me knows that I am overly paranoid about my ride and my tires and that I don't drive around for show...I like to be able to take corners and not worry.

+12 with those springs drop should allow you to easily get within spec with a rear roll, also somewhat dependent on tire size. You won't be running a large amount of camber in any case, no where near the huge amounts of camber that would noticeably decrease your handling or performance. I have run -4 camber in the rears before and it didn't handle like crap contrary to popular belief, and you most likely won't be more than -2.

EDIT: Here are the crappy cell pics, as promised. Let me know if you want a different angle or different type of picture and I'll go snap some more. I'll eventually get my dSLR out there and take some better proper pics soon.

I disagree. I have a buddy with the same wheels running a 275/35 with a lower drop and it looks sick. I also have another bud who is running a 285/35 on a similar size/offset wheel and it looks great. Beefy, but still looks great. I'm not going for the crazy stance and offset
