Giovanni Wheels Any Good?
Giovanni Wheels Any Good?
I haven't really heard much about Giovanni wheels until recently when those coupe pics showed up. I really like that Genoa model shown on the coupe and have been considering getting it but I have no idea how sturdy they are. Up here in Vancouver, some of our roads are pretty rough though not as bad as some NY streets. I bent my last set of TSW wheels on my last car, 3 times. This time around I wanna buy something stronger. I was thinking about the RO-JA wheels cause I've seen them first hand they look really sturdy. The lips on both sides of the wheel are rolled so there's lots of strength there and they are forged. Of course that also means they are expensive. The Giovanni looks sweet but I'm afraid its just another pretty face and I'll suffer the bent wheel fate yet again. Any opinions?

If you are referring to the Giovanna wheels for the price they charge for them I think it would be a better quality wheel. From my experience the lower priced wheels are usually not made as strong and bend easily but it also depends on factors such as the weight of the vehicle and tire pressure etc. I am also looking into buying a Giovanna wheel. I'll let you know any info I find out as far as the structure and build process.

Re: Giovanni Wheels Any Good?
I have a set of 23" Giovanna Capri II rims on my 2000 New Body Tahoe and I have to say that they are a strong, well built, good looking wheel. The only problem I had was two days after buying them one of them began to flake. It was quickly replaced and I have had no problems since.
I do need some help of my own though... I have my G35 Coupe (auto, silver, graphite, premium, performance, nav., aero) on order and it is supposed to be here late January/early February but I am already looking for 19 inch wheels and tires. I have two in mind: The OZ Racing Superleggara III (3-piece forged) and the Lowenhart LD1 (multi-piece Chrome). I plan on getting 19x8.5 in the front and 19x9.5 in the back with 245/35/19 (front) and 275/30/19 (back). Not sure what offset I need yet. Here's my thing... being that mine will be an automatic and not the 6 speed manual, do I still go for the ultra high performance, light-weight OZ wheel or do I go for the Lowenhart LD1 in chrome and pimp around and enjoy the attention? Help me please!!! The wheels can be seen at www.OZWheels.com and www.DazzMotorsports.com.
