Tires - Sumitomo HTS A/S P01 - feedback, please
I got a 09 G37 journey that need first tire replacement (30k miles). WOuld like to shop around for other tires than what it came with (Goodyear Eagle RS-A) and have been looking at reports from CR (Consumer Reports). The following tires are rated very good by CR and would love to hear from anyone else, if they have experiance with these tires and particular with noise.
Sumitomo HTR A/S P01 - 82 out of 100 (equal very good) on CR in the ultra high performance, rated excellent with noise and available for $ 416 for four tires at tirerack.com
Michelin Primacy MX4V - 84 out of 100 in performance all season, rated good in noise and about usd 600 at tirerack.com
my local dealer cannot match prices on tirerack.com and counters with Yokohama Avid Envigor.
Would appreciate any feedback from users with any of these tires.

If they are the same as the HTR+ A/S then I have used them before with great success. great all season with all around good grip in dry or wet or slush conditions.
The new Yoko is supposed to be pretty good as well, but if you're looking to stay in a budget the HTR+ is pretty good IMO.

Good little tire that does a bit of everything. Decent dry/wet, wears well, good a/s traction etc. Upper mid pack performer and is picking up popularity. A step above that would be the Yoko Envigor.
Had these on my wife's 98 Legacy GT wagon. They were great in all conditions. For the money, nothing beats them. I'll be buying a set from Tire Rack for her 07 Outback to replace the horrendous Bridgestone RE92s that are currently on the car.
