Is there any consensus as to which are the best 2 or three summer tires for 06 coupe?

I'm going to be in the market for some summer tires soon. I live in central Texas so snow is not an issue. Is there 2 or 3 tires that provide a good balance of performance, longevity, and price. I read the threads and reviews seem all over the board.

Everyone on here will tell you Ventus V12s. They're great tires and priced well.

But Toyo also offers some affordable quality tires as well as falken.

Look into the Toyo Proxes and Falken FK452.

i wouldnt say everyone but the Ventus are great bang for your buck. Michelin PS2/PS3 (i forget the summer performance model #) are great tires but cost a bit more than the Ventus. You never hear of people complaining about tire roar or road noise from michelins (even after alot of mileage has been put on it like they do with Toyos/Falkens. the toyos/falkens will run you alot less than michelins and should be somewhere along the lines of the Ventus V12.

Alot of lowered guys love the Nitto Neogens because of the design. inner tread is made of a tougher rubber to help the camber wear on the inside.

So i personally do not think there is a consensus.

^ Where can you get PS2's for just a bit more than the V12's? Last time I checked. They cost near double the price of the V12's in equivalent sizes.

OP.. the V12's are great tires for the money you shell out. Yoko S.drives are another great set of summer tires with great performance w/o breaking the bank. I would also look into Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas.
