Question about m45 (sport) wheels.

I was looking into putting the 19" m45 wheels on my car, I've learned that I need to get 20-30mm spacers. If I get a set that are bolt on ones, can the oem lugs be used with them or no?

Yes they should come with the same thread pitch. The Ichiba V2's that I had did.

M45 wheels answers

I recently added M45 19" wheels to my Diamond Graphite '03 G35 Coupe. The Ichiba Version 2 Spacer are the easiest option since you will not have to remove & replace wheel studs.

Your thread is 12x1.25.
You must use OEM acorn type wheel lugs on the M45 wheel.
There a different lugs depending on model and year for coupes and sedans.
Shank style lugs (with a washer attached) causes catastrophic wheel failure.

Here's the link https://g35driver.com/forums/v36-bra...ir-wheels.html

Be smart and order a few extra spacer lugs from Ichiba since the are very easy to damage. Use a 19mm Deep Socket Hex (DO NOT USE a 12pt socket).
Torque both spacer and wheel lugs to 80 ft/lbs. Do not over torque.

I have the Ichiba V2's and they work great. They are "hubcentric" - the wheel actually rests on the hub ring included with the spacer and the lugs lock it down (you'll see what I mean when you install). Matches up perfectly with the M45 wheels.

!!!! If you have a shop install your spacers and wheels make sure they don't muck things up by using air tools to tighten your spacer and wheel lugs. It is VERY EASY to strip your lug bolts or torque down a misaligned wheel !!!!!

Before you decide on spacer size, determine whether you plan to lower your suspension and which tires sizes you'll use.

My coupe is on stock suspension (not lowered)
Front -Ichiba V2 25mm spacers with 225/45-19 tires.
Rear - Ichiba V2 32mm spacers with 245/40-19 tires.

My setup looks flush but there are still a few mm's of space in the front and more in the rear for me to safely drop. 35mm rear are probably the largest you want.

Also, make sure your tire sizes do not trigger VDC.
Your tires need to be staggered.
The "stagger" or difference in tire size between front and rear can not be more than 3%.
Use this site to calculate tire sizes. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
The M45 19" wheel has a width of 8.5 inches.
255/40-19 is probably the widest you can go in the rear.

I used the OEM recommendation for the G37 Front 225/45-19 Rear 245/40-19. This combo does not cause VDC issues on a G35 coupe with M45 wheels. The slightly taller tire in the front actually eliminates some wheel well gap.

BTW You should also invest in lug locks. M45 wheels are rare.
