Taking off Stern ST-1s

hey everyone, need some help. i bought my g35 coupe (2004) last year, and need new brakes, but the person at the shop cant find the right wrench to take off the lug nuts without stripping the inside of the wheel off, any advice would help greatly on what steps i need to take, thanks in advance!

Sounds like they are just trying to take the rim off?

If so: Do you have a standard lug nut on your rims? You may need a thin walled socket to take them off.

Or do you need a socket 'key' for the lug nuts?

Need some more info/clarification here..

You should have the shop tech tell you what socket to buy, buy it, let them use it and keep it in your trunk for the next time.
A tire shop gives you this lack of support is questionable.
