255/35/19's are fine, I run 265/35/19 and have no issues at all, and there are plenty of people who run 275/35/19 (not optimal by any means, but they also say without any issues).

You don't want a 245/40/19 front and 255/35/19 combination - the fronts will be taller than the rears.

265 in large running tire is as big as you can go. I had 265s on my track wheels.

It is the "max" recommended for the width of the rim, sure you maybe able to fit wider but nobody really knows how safe that is. Who knows, the tire could slip off when being pushed hard due to the fact that it doesn't seat correctly on the thinner rim...

What difference does it make? The size of the wheels and the size of the tire hasn't changed, why would it be any different.

Search, this is a useless thread.

I haven't found any threads saying anything about mounting 275 on an 8.5 in rim. So your post is useless not this thread. If you don't have anything that will contribute to what I was trying to do don't post your **** here.

Ok well let me contribute this, your large tires on the undersized wheels is going to make your car handle like ****, clearly you come from a honda civic so you're not worried about this what so ever.

However, their are MULTIPLE THREADS ON THIS TOPIC.

You suck at searching and your tires look wack as ****.

And just so you STFU, this wa son the first page of search.

https://g35driver.com/forums/wheels-...eels-06-a.html

Not to mention 6 or 7 threads about mounting tires on the 8" wide OEM 18s. but of course you can't count in 10s so you wouldn't understand the difference between a half inch and 10mm in tread width.

Use the search and don't get mouthy.

OP.

FWIW. I would use the manufacture's suggested fitment specs (according to the tire).

275 is excessive and you'll more than likely roll the tire off the bead since there is a lot of sidewall hanging past the outermost part of the wheel.

And I'd suggest the sarcasm and personal chit get itself under control or this thread will separate from the forum faster than a stretched tire from an oversized rim.

Play nice fellas. We're all here for the same reason and all can help new members learn.

If you don't want to offer something to help then go elsewhere. Why all the hostility?

Thanks.

I have been nothing but helpful, I'm just an *** hole about it.

What I would really like to teach is that this forum has a search and everyone says "well is searched and didn't find...." ok why did I find it?

Amirght?

BTW, I've never seen a stretched tire separate from "oversized" rim. I have however seen tires pop off the bead from mustang owners trying to put 295s on their 9" wheels.... That's fun at the track.

Yourite.

I was being sarcastic about the rim homey - it was the point I was after.

I wish people would search more and learn for themselves too. I also realize that you can search and read all day and get 47 different recommendations about the same thing. Sometimes a new thread allows a person to ask pointed questions of other members that a search might not provide.

Worst thing that comes from a new thread about an old subject is more conversation and more to find the next time someone does search.

I don't see how assuming someone comes from a Civic and insulting their taste does anything but bring more negativity into our house.

Amirite?
