What is the Widest I can go on OEM Stock 19's(REAR)?!?

That time of year again. I need rear tires on my car. I currently running on 255/40/R19. But i was wondering what is the widest i can go on the stock 19'. I noticed the grip was better with the 55's, so before i purchase tires i want to make sure what is the widest i can do. Thanks in advanced

I've seen 275/30/R19 in the rear and 245/35/R19 in the front on stock 19's. Looks good.

I was thinking of getting 275/30/R19 for the rear. So it should be good then, right.

If you're looking for improved traction it's a better idea to buy tires that have a softer compound where the UTQG ratings are around 220 but not higher than 300. My back rims are 10.5" and I'm running 275/30X19s with PS2s that are rated at 220 with great traction.

275's really like a 9" wheel to mount on, the oem wheel is an 8.5". Might be a tad tight mounting them on those wheels.

I know, I was surprised to see a 275 on a 8.5", but it looked good. I have 275's myself, but of 9.5".
