So my friend has a BMW and I was looking through the BAV Auto magazine and I saw these flush valvestems. there are 2 different styles.

I have never seen them anywhere else. To my knowledge valve stems are universal for wheels so these should fit any type of wheel not only BMWs.

Has anybody else come across these before? or know someone who has? I'd really like to make sure they are reliable.

thanks

I have flush valve stems from Gorilla:
you can get them through Amazon you can get them through Amazon

They come in smooth or slotted for a flat blade screw driver. Also you can paint them to match yours wheels. I've been using them for a few years now and they work great and they definitely do not detract from the wheels styling.

thats cool, looks like it would be a pain to check pressures and fill tires though.

The Gorillas do come with the extension adapter. It works on most air line systems, but with my emergency air inflator I carry in the car I had to get it machined down a little to fit the nozzle.

Checking tire pressures isn't a pain, but it does require some extra time. I would not use these if I were racing on a regular basis where a more traditional style of valve stem would be more benefitial.

I painted these myself:

Only picture I have of them mounted, it was taken to show off my wheel chip:

VIP Modular has been using something similar to those for a while. They look very clean.
