Volk wheels refinished - Before/after pictures

So this detailer forgot to tell his new helper not to use acid-based cleaner on my wheels. Long story short, I finally found a good place to get the wheels refinished. Overall, I'm very happy with the results, wheels look almost brand new again.

For any locals interested, the shop is called Wheels Omni in Oakland Park. Owner's name is George and his number is (954) 958-8937. Very professional and great guys to deal with! I paid $450 for everything and got same day turn-around, dropped off the car at 8am and picked it up at 6pm.

On to the pictures:

Day and night difference! Looks great man. I need to get my GT-M's redone as well. My lips are a little hazy and my centerpieces are too.

Seriously i would talk to the guys who messed them up they might look good for now and later on have issues. I would have had new rims from them.

Acid could have ate through the protective coatings and into the metal. If the wheels arent kept constantly coated they could haze out even faster.

If they messed them up i wouldnt have touched them i would have went to insurance and then let them go after the shop.

So did they re-clear the wheels afterwards?

That was a concern and I spoke to the shop about it. You are right, the key is to keep them coated. I'm using PB wheel sealant.

I've known the detailer for a few years and it was an honest mistake. I worked out a deal with him without having the insurance companies involved.

No, clear-coating was extra $$ and would take more time, I didn't have a set of loaner wheels to drive around on. I was told it's not a big deal as long as I keep them coated with wax or sealant.
