Wheel Weight

so, I see this touched on in my searching but not enough to clear my head. so here it goes and hopefully this info will prove useful to others as well.

1. what are the stock rim & rim+wheel weights on the 35 coupe?

2. what do I need to worry about as far as weight goes when replacing them? how much weight would make little no difference and how much might cause issues, etc?

thanks in advance

Never weighed my OE wheels, didn't have them long enough to find out.

I could be far off here, but I think the stock 19's are around 20lbs.
You wont notice any difference if you relace the wheels with wheels that are the same overall diameter and about 25lbs or less.
Overall diameter plays a big role as well as weight. I had 20's that came in at about 29lbs. I noticed a bit of difference off the line with the 255/35/20 tires I had compared to the the 255/35/19 tires/wheels prior (25lbs ish). Once I swapped the tires out for 255/30/20's it felt like the 19's I had prior. The wheel weight didnt change, tires maybe a little, but the OD was an inch less which made the biggest difference.

Well, I have 18's stock. Im thinking about 19's or 20's. I know the ride will be different as far as suspension goes, but I'm more curious about handling, acceleration and braking. I plan on keeping the outside tire diameter the same even with the rim diameter increase.

stock 18s are about 22-24ish pounds. But the stock oem michelin sport pilots were pretty light.

What you have to understand is not only does the wheel make a difference but the TIRE weight will also. Some tires (in the same size) will be 2-5lbs different depending on brand/type.
