stock tire size different for a reason?
im looking into getting new tires for my G since one tire has a leak now since some donkey butt dropped a pallet in the road... i also plan to have the stocker rims powder coated.. but while i was lookin at my tire size i see that the front and rears are different sizes...is there a reason for this? or is it better to have the different sizes.... i was lookin at the new hankook ventus tires (not the v12 i have the v12s right now) im lookin for more of a racey lookin tire.. do they make tires with smooth sidewalls like slicks have?

Our stock rims are staggered and different widths which requires different sizes generally to appease the VDC. And what do you mean in terms of looks? Generally now the "racey" look is stretched tires or meaty which really isn't that large of a tire. Either way you are running stock rims that are pretty slim and very nonaggressive offsets, not really sporty or "racey" by most standards.

So just buy higher profile tires. Keep the same width 215/225 I think but get a higher profile. Im not share what wheels u have 17s, 18s or 19s but whatever ur profile is I.E. 35/40/45 just get the next number up and that will give u a thicker sidewall. So if u have 19s with a 40 get a 45. That's usually adds another inch of height to ur sidewall.

I already kno that. But that's the look he wants. Roll the fenders if he needs too and turn the VDC off. Ppl do lots of stuff to their Gs when it comes to wheel/tire set ups and running larger tires is the least of his worries if he doesn't know why the tires in the rear are wider than the tires in the front. But u r right, I should have asked if he had his car lowered and what size wheels he was running b4 I gave my advice.
