Just ordered ssr sp1's for my g35 coupe

I have a 2004 black g coupe with 7k miles on it and i just ordered myself a set of ssr sp1's from tirerack.com in the chrome finish (i forget what its called). I got 18x9 in the front with offset of 30 and a 18x10.5 in the rear with 31 offset. I BELIEVE these will fit but they guy said they are gonna prolly call me back and give me more information in about a week after they check those offsets to make sure they will fit and everything (im sure the rear is fine... dont know bout the front but i know they'll be close enough that i can just use spacers if i have to. I told them i wanted the most aggressive offset possible to get the fattest lip. Im also getting tein basics in the next week or so... and gonna put my car pretty low.

o yeah... i think im going to stretch my stock tires on this i love the look of ridiculously stretched tires with ridiculous negative camber

Yeah, those SSW SP1's are sweet. Ha ha, I just took a drive to tirerack @ South Bend, Indiana to pick up some tires for her car. After I drove her car in the shop so they can mount the new tires, I started walking to the customer waiting area and saw this blue modded up '05 Mustang. It had a helmet in the back seat and everything. It had some new wheels I've never seen before. They are SSR GT-10's in 19". I came home and looked it up on google and it turns out to be a project car from H&R they had at Sema. I wonder how they would look on our G coupes. I was thinking about buying a set right there since I did have my girlfriend's credit card with me to pay for her tires, ha ha. I don't think she would believe her tires cost her 3 to $4000 though.

Here's the link to that mustang: http://www.hrsprings.com/site/projec...tang/body.html

Those look kinda like the Volk Forged Mag Spoke(which I think are hot!)

Good choice on the SP1, I was looking at those on Tirerack the other day. I couldn't believe the price on them, thought they would be more. Plus how come you didn't get 19's Raznip?

That Mustang is on loan to us from H&R. Its a stock GT, but everything else has been heavily modded for competition use. It was their SEMA show car and gave it to us to display for awhile on its trip back to Michigan. Pretty sweet car in person.

The pictures don't do the wheel justice. Its awesome in real life. I found your order and you purchased the bright satin with an anodized lip *see pic below*. That wheel is a good fit on the G. Our SSR rep was here a few months ago and thats the wheel they have been using in Japan for awhile. They have had an 11.5" version of on our cars over there before and never had a problem. Thanks for purchasing thru us

Neal

P.S. Those anodized lips REALLY don't like salt or abrasive materials. If there's a chance of salt getting on them I would use a different set for winter.

So you're going for the comic Autotooner look. cool.

I was looking at the SP2's, D5R's and also the GT3's... wish
Tirerack carried Volks too for a wider selection on these touring
wheels. I think I might settle on the GT3's....not sure yet though.

I think you're okay with the offsets you have especially if you're
going to stretch on those 225's and 245's. I was thinking more like
245/40/18 up front and 265/40/18 on the rear using PilotSports.

yeah i am really thinking of going with 235 and 255 40 for the tires and stretching those. WIll i be able to get the tires to tuck (in the front) and even in the rear? I do not mind rolling my fender if i have to. I just want to tuck about an inch of tire in the front and very very little in the rear. Is this finish the chrome looking one. I was about to order SBC but the guy said that these are a brighter more "bling bling" type of chrome. And i just like the look of 18's and a little lower than 19's. i figure i'll be able to go an inch lower. I like how cars slammed look kinda funny with smaller wheels. i have a picture of a white g on stock 18's and i want this kind of look. the first pic is the one that made me want 18's and then second one is what the finish i want is.... is that the satin? or is that sbc?

I am torn between those wheels in SBC, and the Racing Hart CP-F tunes. I need to see the SSR SP1's on a G35, then I'll decide..make sure you post pics
