Wheels Question?!?!?!
Wheels Question?!?!?!
Hey G35 Members,
I'm new to this forum, just got my car about a month ago and i'm thinking of grabbing a set of wheels for it down the roads but so far i cant get any information on what I was looking for. I have a G35X (AWD) and somewhere it says you have to have the right offset and w/e or else a sensor could be set off?!?! which got me confused...but my wheels specs are 17x7 +45 offset, and i'm thinking of grabbing my buddy's work wheels 18x8 +35 offset. Would i have any issue/s with it? And also can i run other wheels with different offsets like from +35 to +50 offset range?
P.S. Sorry if this subject has been covered before, anything I type just didn't really help or answer my question.

Complete wrong section for this thread, I know you're new, but take a roam around the site and see the different sections for designated things. Post up and get talking!
It's not the offsets that can confuse the AWD it's actually the tire sizes. They need to be within 3% of each other front to back in overall diameter in order to avoid tripping the computer.
Your buddies wheels will work fine, just make sure you use appropriate tires. Something like 225/45/18 would be your best bet.

Yes, but as 4D said, do some searching around. There are Stickies deticated to these subjects.
