Wow that sucks, hope no one was hurt.

Sad thing no matter how many of these pics get posted on the web people will always chance it with low quality wheels.

i can't find the d@mn picture lol but if you read through that thread (original link)the comments are interesting

"complete bull****. There is no evidence to put the story with the pictures.

Notice:
1) gravel in the wheel lug recesses
2) gravel in the wheel well
3) missing lug nut
4) the wheel is completely off axis of it's regular position

someone is trying to pass off a wheel hit hard by a big object as wheel failure. Fail.

Anyone who knows understands that's not what a wheel failure looks like at speed. In fact everything in the pics supports a collision."

from my350

"Does anyone else notice the fact that that car is running on 4/5 lug nuts?

Pretty sure that could be a direct correlation with a stress crack failure...."

"^ this, plus that doesnt look like a 35mph crash to me. anyways. fake wheels rock."

"i call bs on that story. that evo crashed hard enough to break one the lugs. a hard impact like that will break any wheel. look at the damage on the side skirt."

but yea i still wouldn't spend over a couple of hundred on them

Its obvious that the driver ran into something causing side & frontal damage. It its really what caused the accident. Who really know if the wheel cracking caused the driver to lose control of the car and crashing or if this is insurance fraud.

another reason I would rather run OEM wheels than low quality replica wheels.

claims against rims like linea's and the such are a lot more valid imo. for some of the reasons pointed out above this one just sounds like total bs

meant to state chikara, although there have been claims of linea corse cracking and judging by when they both appeared on market I'm not so sure they aren't from the same source.

Just looking at the pics, it was not the wheel that was the problem, it was the driver.

Look at the lug nut area, it's full of dirt. That guy went sliding off the road and hit something.
