So,

I'm looking to purchase a set of wheels soon.
Preferably around $1,000-$1,500.
I am considering a set of 19" Varrstoen 1.1.2 or 5.5.2 and maybe 20" XXR526
Now, I know everyone mixed feelings about fake/cheap wheels, but I am just looking for an aesthetically pleasing wheel as a daily with great specs. I don't race this car and I don't drive like a jackass. just enjoying a nice DD.
Also, what 5 spoke wheels would you guys recommend?

I dont race or drive like a jackass and I still prefer real wheels. If your looking for aesthetically pleasing wheels w/ great specs just get some used volks.

My apologies. I didn't mean to say people with real wheels drive like jackasses. I meant that I'm not going to beat on the wheels hard. I had a set of SF-winnings. I just prefer not to spend much this time around

If your budget is $2K I would just get a set of used real wheels, lots to choose from in the Marketplace here and other forums.

2K with or w/o tires?? If w/o you can easily get a very nice pair, especially used. /w tires you can still pick up something authentic with some decent tires in the marketplace.

But then I have varr and I really like them.

I agree. Real is the way to go. The way I see it is, if your gonna drop all that money might as well spend it on something good. Didn't you just love your SF Winnings? It might take a little while longer to find a good deal on used wheels, but I think its definitely worth it.

Why not try the marketplace or check out CZ Wheels, shoot them an email, I'm sure they could help you out.

i dont understand why everyone refers to XXR and Varr as fake wheels and Volk/Work as real wheels. Last time I checked they were all "real" wheels. It's not like XXR and Varr are books or chairs trying to look like wheels. Please refer to them as replicas

Sorry, it's just a pet peeve

same reason people call implanted t!ts fake, they're not books or chairs trying to look like breasts they are breasts. they're something not as good dressed up to look like something they're not. like fake wheels, cheaper material, manufacturing/design process dressed up to look like a quality wheel. i guess you must call implants replicas too?

so whats SO bad about xxrs? never understood why people hate on them so much. xxr 526's are pretty hot with that dollar bill lip. i was actually considering either them or Avant Garde m310's

I understand your point but that's actually a pretty bad analogy you gave. Unfortunately implants are not real ****, they're bags of silicon. But XXR are wheels.

For the record I do like nice "fake"

please don't make this into another replica vs authentic thread, there are plenty of those already go back to one of those or just let it die already. point is to the OP that with his price range he can afford a good set of authentics if he prefers them.

^ Thank you..

whats CZ wheel? got a link?

$2000 is not what i prefer to spend on 'just' wheels.
I'm look at spending around $1K-$1.5K including tires. BUT, i'm open to your guys preferences.
Are there any 5/6/7 spoke wheels w a step lip under 2k? im trying to steer from mesh wheels, but there isnt much of a selection for 5 spoke wheels that ive liked..

What do you guys think of these?
