haha lowering my car is next on the list. Do you know whats up with those lugnuts sticking out though??

That's not a problem, but rather due to the Face I and Face II design of the rim (for front and rear offsets) and thus the bolting surface / length will vary a bit. You could cut down your lugs, or get shorter ones, but I would just leave them as is, this way you'll never have a problem with fitment of any other wheel and or possibly your spare.
