Running 10s up front...

Ok, so i'm looking to go concave, and i want the concave on front too, not the boring flat fronts with the nice concave rears. I've done some math and whatnot, so i was gonna bounce it off you guys and make sure i'm good to go. Planning on 10s up front, 10.5s in the rear.

So, offset calculator from stock wheels (19x8 +30) to new wheels (20x10 +35) says that the new wheels will stick out 20mm more than factory and inside clearance will be 30 mm less. On my current wheels i'm running a 20mm spacer up front. So the fender to face of wheel should be identical, right?

As for tires, i'm thinking 255/35 up front and 275/30 on rears. The fronts are a little over 3% bigger than factory (which the calculator doesn't advise) but they are within the 3% front to back, so the VDC should be happy. Hankook V12s are the planned tires, was considering 265/30 but V12s don't come in that size.

Factory 05 brakes, would like to get some BBK action goin on at some point to fill the style of wheel i'm looking at, but that's a little down the road. Season or two. Also, i'm dropped on Eibach prokits. just a little over an inch drop.

Thoughts, opinions, and other wise are all appreciated. I'm basically concerned if i can run the 10s up front without much trouble.

There are G coupes running Vossen CV3s 10.5 all around. Search that and get in contact with whichever member has the set up and asked what they did to fit.

I run 10.5 fronts with an offset around +17 and 275/30 tires they slightly rub on the screw in the fender(if you look inside the front fender there is a screw at the top middle) it is not bad. It dosent rub that often just when I corner hard at high speeds but if you went with even 265mm up front I doubt it would be an issue

I'm also running 10.5 in the front with +25 offset. No rubbing. Fronts are rolled. Gonna put a 5mm spacer to get it more flush. 245/35

Im running 19x10 +8 w/ 245s up front. no problem. You should keep the 20mm spacer up on front with those (20x10 +35)

wow thanks for all the replies. sorry i didn't weigh in, i didn't get the "someone has replied" emails.

so even with that high of an offset i should be good up front with no rubbin on insides. cool. now you guys are making me consider 10.5s squared....

what are you runnin now TIAN? i was inspired to go the concave route by your ride.

Also, for you guys running the big wide fronts, do you notice that your steering "hunts" on uneven road surfaces? Not that its a super huge deal or anything, just curious.

Front is 10.5, +25, 245/35/20, -2.8 camber. Fenders pinched

Rear is 10.5, +15, 255/35/20, -3.4 camber. Fenders rolled

Gonna adjust the camber and sit the wheels up to make them more flush. Once I have it dialed it I might through 5mm spacers all around.

Thanks for the compliment man

What do you mean by "hunts?" My steering feels the same. Tight turns aren't the same though IMO

"hunts" like if you are on an older road where the road is crowned between the drive lanes or just kinda humped i've heard it's more susceptible to pulling the front of the car around. not like drastic rip your arms off and send you into the ditch, but just that it's more pronounced when a road is uneven. Which makes sense, cause the surface area of the tire is much greater.

i was falling back on the similarity to like what a hollow point round does. they have a tendency to do what they call "hunt" which is the closest thing i could come up with.

thanks for the info!
