Will the Z's front strut tower brace fit on either the coupe or sedan? Any one try it? Pricing from Nissan?

Don't think it will fit the coupe without some major mods. I have both and was just looking at this yesterday when preparing to install an earth grounding kit. The Z strut bar does not attach in the normal place, i.e. to the actual strut mounts, but slightly forward to the inner fender well. The G's inner fender is shaped a little differently on the drivers side, so in addition to drilling holes and reinforcing the mount, you would have to modify the bar a little. Also, you would need the engine cover off the Z, or no cover at all for it to fit across the engine.

What advantages does a Strut brace bring to the table?

It helps control body flexing from motor torque and cornering to stabilize the car. Our G's are already very sterdy and rigid but a little more is always good--(like Horsepower hahaha)
