Tire problem?

Howdy, folks,

A little history here. I had coils and the car dropped conservatively for well over 25k miles. I never had issues with camber and toe wear until about two alignments ago when the shop couldn't get things back close to spec -- so the tires eventually started getting toe wear.

I rotate F-B roughly every 5k miles, and L-R at 10k by mounting/dismounting tires. (Square setup)

Fast forward to two weeks ago i had front and rear camber kits installed and got an alignment -- all checks fine.

The problem now is, at 70+mph, i'm getting a vibration in the car. No wheel weights fell off and all bolts check fine from the installed parts. Swapping the wheels/tires front/back still vibrates, but differently (i.e. instead of stronger vibes at the steering wheel, it's now in the rear.)

I've read a handful of posts about how the tires were worn down to the cambered/toe wear pattern. Now that camber and toe is well within spec, the tire is no longer balanced when it turns.

How true is that, and will Roadforce balancing fix this issue, or have i worn the tires down too much for it to wear back down evenly? I have 6/32 all around with about 5/32 at the lowest points.

Thank you.

If you haven't RoadForced them, I would suggest doing so. Also, are you sure the wheels aren't bent slightly?

Thanks, Kevin. I'll try to get them RF'd this week. I'm fairly certain the wheels aren't bent as it started happening after the camber kits were installed and i got the alignment (same day.) But i'll check it regardless.

FWIW, and for anyone else with a similar issue, i got the tires Roadforce balanced and the vibrations are gone.

The Hunter Road Force balancer is pretty much the best thing out there right now. Glad things worked out!
