Help with offset

Hi I'm new to aftermarket rims and don't fully understand offset yet. I have an 05 X that I just dropped on Eibach Pro Kit. I'm starting to look into new wheels and needed help finding the correct rim/ tire size with offset. I wanna go with 19s for sure. So far I'm thinking a 245/40/19 tire on 19x8.5 rim. I just want confirmation that I wouldn't rub with the drop and what size offsets I should b looking at. I had a set of 20x8.5 on there before and thought they stuck out a little to much. I believe the offset was 35 or 38. I just want it to sit flush or slightly in, not sticking out at all thanks.

if the offset on your previous wheel was 35mm then they would have been mostly flush with your said drop.

Aim for offsets around +30-+35 and you will be fine.

But keep in mind, your car can handle wider wheels without having to poke them out.

If you have anymore questions feel free to ask in the stickied wheels and tire question thread at the top of this section.

Ok thanks. Not sure on the previous offset. Just what I saw online most were +35 or 38 on the wheels I had. I also had them on before the drop

+1

I was going to say that it should be pretty flush with a +35mm offset.
