Tire pressure sensors

Does anyone know if the tire pressure sensors can be relocated to aftermarket rims. If not, what happens when you put on aftermarket rims (i.e. does the warning light remain on, buzzer sounds everytime you start the car, etc.). I believe the tire pressure sensors came on the '04 models, did they come on both the coupe and sedan?

It can go on some, and cannot go on others. It depends on the rims that you get.

As for the light, it didn't go off on me when I switched to my winter setup which didn't have the TPM's. When I removed them from my stock 18's and brought them into my car, that's when the light turned on (How smart am I? LOL).

There is no buzzer.
The light only comes on after a long time delay on my car.

My daily drive is about 45min & no light.
It seems to take about an hour before it comes on.

I have a question for all of you. Look below to see what car I have. I want to get the 2005 19" OEM wheels that have the sensors in them. Will the sensors from another car work with my computer or will the computer and sensors have to be reconfigured?
Thanks,

Darren

Hi, check this link from 350Zforum.com about mounting tire pressure sensors on some new wheels. Don't know how much of this transfers to the G but the basic idea should be good.

Good find 94GXE It was an interesting read, and I have been wondering what these TPS monitors were like.

I think it depends on what wheels you have. When you put them in you have to get them calibrated. If it's a 2 or three piece wheel then I heard that it won't work. I'll find out though becuase I'm getting my sf-challenges soon and I'm going to put them in.
