Moda R6

Hey guys, I am thinking of selling/trading my 03 Maxima SE in on a 05 Diamond Graphite/Graphite G35x. I have a set of 18" Moda R6 wheels with 245/40 18 Yokohama AVS ES 100s that I use on the car in the summer. Will these fit the G35x? The offset is 45mm I think. Also, if these do fit, is there a way to maintain the low tire pressure warning system? If I can't maintain the system, will I have a light on all the time if I change wheels? Haven't driven the car yet or really taken a good look at it up close, so I am not positive I will be getting one. I am looking forward to abusing a salesman or too though

The wheel you have on the Maxima should be an 18x8 with a 45mm offset. The R6 that fits the 05 G35X is an 18x8 with a 38mm offset. This means the Maxima wheel will sit too far in on the G35 and may hit the brake calipers. (Higher the offset number further in the wheel moves. Smaller number further out the wheel moves) So you need the 38mm offset to help push the wheel further away from the caliper. I cross ref with my fitment team here at work (Tire Rack) and they say it wont work. The tire is a tad short as well. A 245/45-18 is really a better fit on the G35X

Sorry, wish I had better news for you.

Thanks for the info. Could I just use H&R 5mm spacers to make the wheel closer to the Infiniti spec? These wheels are brand new and it would suck to have to sell them. I am also a Tire Rack Wholesale dealer, and was meaning to call you on this issue. When I got the wheels from you, I was told that the 245/40s would not fit and they may also rub. I have never experienced any such problems on the Maxima. I do respect your opinion though, as you do this all day long.

Unfortunately we do not sell spacers. H&R does have the better quality spacers on the market. I can give you their number if you like. You might get away with a small one, but then you have to make sure there is enough stud length for the lugs to tighten down properly. Not sure why you were told that with the Maxima. 245/40-18 is a recommended fitment for that car.
