Bridgestone Potenza 970AS?

Just wondering if anyone had an opinion on these tires? The ratings on tire rack are really good so far. My wheels are 19x9 and 19x10. I'm considering to run 235/35/19 up front and 275/35/19 in the rear. These are the new Potenzas and from some research, it seems they've engineered some upgrades into this model. The only issue is that these tires are pretty heavy compared to the others. 27lbs up front and 29lbs in the rear. I'm already going up in in weight for my new wheels. Almost a pound up front and 2 pounds per wheel in the rear. I thought I could compensate for this by buying a lighter tire. Maybe it won't make a difference since I'm not tracking my G coupe. I just drive fast from time to time... mainly to get away from audis/bmws tailgating me here in the UK. Any opinions or thoughts are welcome. Thanks.

Bridgestone makes some pretty good quality tires, and I think you should enjoy these. They get good marks on Tirerack overall as well. In regard to the weight, I would not worry too much about that. For everyday driving I do not think you'll notice much of a difference at all.

Has been a great tire since they came out. Large improvement over the RE960 across the board. It's currently the top tire in its class and scored highest amongst the ones we tested. Let me know if interested!
