Question Question for G35 Coupe owners with EIBACH PROKIT...

Just got my G35 over the weekend and I love it!! I was just wondering what opinions people have who have lowered their cars with the Eibach Prokit springs? How does the car ride in comparison to stock? Is it too low? Do you have trouble with scraping, getting in and out of driveways, etc? Do the new spring make the tires wear excessively, or were you able to align the car pretty much close to stock specs? ANY feedback, pros/cons on this would be GREATLY appreciated!!! Thanks!

I would not do this again. The progressive rates actually would allow the car to "bounce". I currenlty have sold the 2003 coupe for a 2005 sedan (6MT, performance wheel and suspension package). On offramp to my office would amke my coupe bounce around it. The sedan is much moreplanted and composed. I would rather have a linear rate. Maybe RSR or similar. Regards.

bounce... no. If you are talking about undulations, your struts are probably blown
or not matched to the springs.

Im using the Prokit on the rear. I like them and looking at the other available spring
rates, I think people who are semi-performance minded who want to maintain
stock-like ride would agree with me that the Prokit has the best drop with the
optimum spring rates available.

If you're looking for a mild drop, it looks like people with 350Z H-Techs are happy
with their setup.

my tires are wearing flat so far.

Before trading the car in I changed back to the OEM springs. The bounce was gone. Shock were fine. I liked the look of the drop, but I wouldn't buy them again.

hummmm... Do you remember your alignment settings? This car is
very sensitive to ride height so it's possible that you were experiencing
the wandering effect (from toe-out condition) than bounce.
If you didn't get an alignment done, then the ride would be very bad.

You mentioned that the car was fine after the stock springs were put
back on... did you re-align then?

No need for the realignment. I reinstalled the OEM front a arms and rear camber arms. I had an alignment after installing the 350evo front arms and the kinetix rear camber arms. I spoke with 350evo about this. They agreed that the Eibach springs tend to "bounce". I also noticed more body roll. I am not psekaing for anyone but me, I would not recommend these springs. I do, however, have a set for cheap!

Our philosphy on suspension geometry changes vs alignment
is quite different so I don't think we can come to an agreeable
conclusion, but you actually tried them out and was not happy.
That's a valid point.

I agree with the roll, I prefered the S-Tech front springs over
the Eibach's, but with swaybars that issue can be dramatically
improved.

I have no bounce or undulations and they actually perform quite
well imho considering the amount of drop.

I like it a lot! I went with the Pro Kit which says average drop is 1.0", but I think it was more like 1.5". Ride is great and with their sway bars the handling is awesome. Here are some stock vs. my car with Eibach pics.

man, your ride is low. Do you have a stereo system in the back?
Here's mine from the side. Ride height is 355mm front and rear. (from
fender to center of wheel). f = s-tech r = prokit

Nope no stereo or anything that would make the car heavier. I was surprised by the rear more than the front. Heres another couple of after pics.

In retrospect, I must confess. I am not an expert. I also must say that we disagreed and didn't throw word punches, and that is uncommon in this electronic community age. Thanks!

Eibach's are fine. I think the ride comfort is near stock and my car looks great.

Car's looking good. When you got time, see what your distance is
from the highest point of your fender arch to the wheel's center. We'll
have a better idea how much lower your car is vs mine.

myG35ZX- hey, we're all friends here.

same ride quality as stock. no scraping, no camber, no complaints. much compliments. a little toe but an alignment fixed that back to stock specs. good to go!

fyi: carboy (houston) recommended eibach pro kit springs over any other springs for g35.
