Hi - I've been searching for a few days and have found no clear answer to this. I have a '04 6mt coupe and want to buy a set of 17x8 lightweight wheels for use in autocross. Specifically, I'm really looking at the 5Zigen N01R-C rims.

I have found 10,000,000 posts asking whether 17's will fit over Brembos and 10,000,000 replies saying, "yes - if you get the right offsets." Gee thanks for the clear, meaningful answer - awesome . In fact, I do have stock G35 Coupe 17" wheels that I use for winter (using 3mm spacers in front).

But the important question has still not been answered. WHAT offsets will fit? Has ANYONE put any AFTERMARKET 17" rims on their 6mts? If so, what offsets did you use? I've seen the offset calculator website, but that doesn't really explain what is going on and I don't want to use that as the safety net before ordering ~$1600 rims and tires.

If anyone has some real insight here - I (and many others) would really appreciate the info! Thanks,

The offset isn't the only factor. It also depends on the spoke design of the particular wheel you are looking at. The FN01R-C rims look fine to me and should fit.
