Rear passenger side wheel more sunk than driver side

Rear passenger side wheel more sunk than driver side

I did an allignment today and the passenger rear wheel has about an inch of clearance from the fender whereas the driver side has only 1/2 an inch. Camber degrees are 0.1 degree of eachother.

I asked the technician and he says that its normal because of the fuel tank placemnent?

Is that true?

these cars are heavier one side than the other, but it could also possibly mean that your driver side shock absorber is blown

Yeah, my first guess is that the strut needs to be replaced.

O_O

Any other reasons for this? I've had this unevenness for 2 years now :S

Technician showed me a couple OEM cars nearby that did the same thing, he said the axle is shifted to one side to give the wheel well on the fuel tank's side more space... it all made sense on the spot but when I got home, i realized all these stanced cars have equal camber and poke.

I haven't noticed anything and before the alignment, the tech even took out my coilovers and re-adjusted them and it feels better than ever.
