tire sizing and spacers for 19" OEM rays
Hey guys,
I have an 06 coupe with the stock 19" rays. Currently running 245/40/19 rears and 225/40/19 in the front. Those are the tires that were on it when I bought the car. Starting to mod and one of the first things I'm looking to do is get a bit of a wider/more aggressive look in the rear.
I will not be lowering my car at all or anything, but I want to make sure what I get won't rub the fenders (because I don't want to roll my fenders either).
I've been looking at wheel spacers and figured I would get 25mm rear spacers with no problems, .........but then started looking into different size tires too.
Should I stick with the 245 and 225 stock and just get the spacers?.....or should I go 255 in the rear? and another question, ...who has 245or255/35/19....little bit less tire profile seems like a good choice. Sorry if this is confusing, but I'm just trying to buy tires for right now, with wheel spacers to come soon after. Will my car look stupid with 25mm in the rear and nothing up front?
So my options are:
245/40/19 and 225/40/19 (what i have now)...then get the 25mm rear spacer
OR
255/35/19 and 225/40/19 (they don't make 35 for the tires I'm buying) ....then try to figure out what size spacers to put on the rear (recommendations welcome).
Going to order BFGoodrich g-Force Sport COMP-2 (ultra high performance summer) if anyone cares to know.
Pretty sure I confused myself trying to explain that, so, sorry in advanced for any frustration associated with this. Haha

I am looking as well. Right now the car is sitting stock height and I have 225/245. I run 245 in the rear... I was mistaken at first :/
If I find something I'll post it.
Check this thread out, there's an interesting video... https://g35driver.com/forums/wheels-...l-spacers.html

I also had a similar question. I'm currently running the OEM 19's with stock tire size (225/40/19, 245/40/29), stock suspension height, 15mm spacers in the front, and 20mm spacers in the rear. I also do not want to lower the car or roll the fenders.
My plan is to change the tires to 245/35/19 in the front and 265/35/19 in the rear, but was wondering if there would be any issues with rubbing

What's it cost you to roll the rear fenders out of curiosity? I'm never going to lower my car or else I wouldn't be able to pull in my driveway. If 25mm rears don't require a roll I'd just get those. But maybe the 30mm only rubbed because you're dropped? Thanks for the help btw

That's should be perfect.
It's been a while since I checked the Z forum on this but to my knowledge that is the recommended specs for the Z.
So you shouldn't have any issues at all.
The worst thing would probably be needing a slight fender roll and an alignment if you haven't done so already.
