tire question

hey guys. i used to own an 02 eclipse and i had 19" konig trouble with 225/30/19 tires on it. i sold the eclipse and purchased g35x. my question is would it be ok to leave those same tires on the wheels and put it on my new car? if not, what's the max size you can fit on 19x8? i see a lot of guys putting 275s. would it fit?

OK assuming you had the 215/55 17" as your stock tires, you'd want to go to a 275/35 19" tire. This means your speedo reads 60.0 mph and you are actually travelling 60.6 mph. Pretty good match for speed and mileage.

If you go with Pilot Sports a 275/35 19" tire is not even made: http://www.michelinman.com/assets/pd...pilotsport.pdf

It is made for the Pilot Sport PS2 however: http://www.michelinman.com/assets/pd...otsportps2.pdf

Regardless of it being made or not, the wheel width suggested starts at 9" wide, so sorry you're out of luck on 275's.

Realistically with an 8" wide rim you are going to have to limit yourself to something around 245 at the widest (and assuming your bolt pattern also matches).
