I have a 2006 coupe that's not lowered or anything. Stock 19" Rays and the sport tuned suspension. I'm throwing 225/35/19 and 245/35/19 tires on em. I won't be lowering my G and just want to push the wheels out a bit. Decided on 20f and 25r since i'm not trying to roll my fenders. I know to get the hubcentric ones, by is there any reason not to get Ebay ones? It's aluminum....hubcentric....comes with machine pressed studs/bolts etc... Why pay an extra $100 something for the brand name? Is there something I'm missing as to why other guys don't just buy spacers like these?...

Not sure why it would really matter, being that they have all the same features as the other brands. If anyone has reasons, I'm interested in hearing.

 

Hubcentric is better....No vibration from spacers...

 

The link I posted shows that they are hubcentric though. That's where I'm lost....as to what the huge difference is that everybody always needs the V2's or H&Rs.

 

I guess you get what you pay for...Some people buy name brand..Maybe anyone that has maybe ran these can chime in...

 

That's what I was hoping. Lol. Everybody has HR or V2 though. I was taking a shot in the dark trying to get some input on noname. Hoping somebody will have tried it already.

 

I had the same thing, 06 coupe with OEM 19's. I went with 25mm all the way around and was very happy. I did not have to roll my fenders either. I went with the Ichiba V2 (they come with rings) and I never had any problems. I can't stress how important it is to put on some anti seize silver cream so they will come right off when you decide to remove the spacers. Good luck.

 

Thanks dukehotty...not a lot of people mention the anti seize in the install process. luckily i've read up, and you reminded me.

 

I....will def keep that in mind. I'm ordering ionic eyelids soon, and will be painting those and my grill painted, along with smoking my tails. I just found out today that my buddies got a shop I can get a good deal at.

So when I talk to him about painting my stuff, I'll ask him how much it'd be to roll my rear fenders. 30r 25f woulddddd be niceeee... lol.

 

You are welcome. Check out these threads. One is mine because I got the anti seize on my lugs and they got loose. Wipe off the bolts/lugs if you get that stuff on them.

By the way, I didn't go with 30mm on the rear because the stock tire/rim isn't very wide and it looks weird to me to have them so far apart. The spacers are really easy to install yourself and I was really, really happy with how it looked when I was done!

 

duke.....you mentioned you HADDDD 25mm all around.... are you implying that you no longer have your G or something? Gimme your spacers! =D

 

I sold my OEM's and spacers when I got my 20's ! I miss my Rays though after I saw somebody polish the rims and paint the faces..

First off, I would run 19-45-225/245 instead of 35.
It'll lessen the fender gap and look much better especially if your not going lower your car.
You'll also avoid messing with your speedometer.
I THINK the stagger is ok... but not sure.

Spacers to run are 20mm front, 25mm back with STOCK tire sizes. It'll look flush.
Check out the G35 19" wheel thread on my350z to get an idea.

Reasons why not to run ebay spacers... where do I start...
All I can say is the wheel hub is what is holding the wheel to your car.
It's a vital component that you definitely DO NOT want to cheap out on.
You can find tons of pictures online of people who either cheaped out or installed their spacers improperly and had the wheel fall off while driving.
So that $100 difference is nothing compared to the headaches and $$$ you'll be spending if the cheap ebay spacers crap out. Just saying.

 

I agree.... also, it will be really easy to sell your well known brand spacers should you chose to get wheels that don't need them.

 

I had no intentions on actually buying them, I was more so curious as to why nobody else did. And the quality/brand is good enough for me.

I pm'd Kday and am going to order through him once I get my rays powdered and tires put on. If the company ever sends me my friggin powder samples. Looked through over 100 colors, narrowed it down to 10, then 5, then top 3. finally picked one, went on the site to order, and they had 3 new ones that i loved. -_- so been waiting a 1.5 weeks for new samples to come in. wompppp.
