Unhappy Rear End Alignment?

Hey everyone! Just got an 03 Coupe and loving it!

Anyways, bought this from the Mercedes dealer here in KC and when I got the vehicle the tires on it looked to be very new, maybe 6 months old. I have put about 300 miles on the car since the 4th when I bought it and yesterday I took the wheels off to check the balance/pressure in then at my shop and noticed the back looked like they were wearing really bad on the inside. I know the rear end on these has a slight camber? to them so its normal for a small amount of wear but this looks terrible! Here are a few pictures to show you what I mean.

Does anyone know whats going on? Alignment or is it just some junk tires? It's kind of hard to see but its feathering really bad and the edge's of the tread are like spiked up.

Did the car come with a recent alignment sheet? If not, it probably hasn't been aligned in a good while.

Yeah, everything is tight as it could be. I'm emailing the dealer right now to see if they will cover it. Tires aren't a big deal to me because of my shop but still.

If that feathering all came in the last 400 miles then you definitely have an issue. Hankooks make good tires, they're not a super cheap brand so I doubt it's the tire that's at fault here. However this could be a faulty tire, does the other rear tire show the same, or close, wear?

I'd guess you need an alignment as previously mentioned and if the wear is specific to this tire, your toe's probably out of whack on that corner.

Well, I took it to our local shop and he said it was 2.5 degrees out and the toe was out also. Said that the factory spec's are for 1.5-1.65 and put it right at 1.65. So that should solve the problem! I'll let everyone know!
