Will do - you're gonna have to wait about a month though, sorry!

Don't know if I can wait that long...

Great!

On a sedan that also installed oem coupe springs, the owner got exactly that he wanted, a slightly firmer ride then the oem sedan sport suspension. I got to drive that car to as I was their to help do the install. I was struck by the overwhelming sensation that the valving R&D that went into them was very well spent. I was also struck by the thought that it's one mod that you will not question as by why you spend the money to buy them. The Tokico's were set 4 turn's off of full firm, so they had plenty left over in reserve to go stiffer, or to go softer for that matter.

I'm really happy with my D-Specs. I've played around with them somewhat, but haven't yet found my ideal autox settings. I have found what I call my "touring setting" which basically makes the coupe feel slightly softer than stock. I'm running my 350evo sways full soft and the D-Specs at 6 turns from full stiff. This makes for a pretty soft ride. I chose to run this for now since it keeps trying to snow and I want to maximize my grip under these conditions. The springs are still stiff enough that the coupe handles well on the streets.

I did try the softest setting of 7.5 turns from full stiff to see what it was like. This is not a good setting with stock springs as they were under-damped and the car was bouncing all over the road!

For Street performance, I played around with the sways at med/med and the shocks both at 5 turns from full stiff. The ride was still nice - pretty close to stock, but seems to stick to the road better than it did stock (such as on bumpy, curved on-ramps, etc). 4.5 turns in front was getting a little too rough for my daily driving preferences.

I did one autox the weekend before last, with the sways set as in the last paragraph above. The D-Spec rears were set at at 5 and I tried the fronts from 6 to 4.5. My times improved on every run, but I am not consistent enough driver to say whether the improvement was soley based on the D-spec settings. Next time, I think I'll try 4.5 in the rear and sweep the fronts from about 5.5 to 3.5 to see what feels the best.

Hopefully the weather will straighten out and I'll get to play some more soon!

Mike
