Can Anyone ID These Wheels?

Saw these wheels at the 'ring and have always been curious to know what they are.

ID them wheels!

Wheels are NTM PISTA III 3-piece forged. Also known as NTM Track III 18. These particular ones are 18x9.5 and 18x11 on 5x120 bolt pattern. They weigh 9.5kg (20.94lbs) each. They come in silver/black/grey/gold/white center or fully painted. Price is ~$4000+ a set. They are "track use only" wheels.

Thanks. I wonder what makes them "for track use only". When I saw them, I knew I wanted them. Something different than the usual Work/Volk/SSR rims in the US.

I believe it has something to do with a track wheels not doing well with every day street driving such as pot hole and chemicals commonly found on street as well as track wheels are NOT DOT certified to use on road used cars because of DOT specifications and limitation on thickness and design. On a track you're not going to be hitting pot holes or seeing a lot of foreign chemicals like mercury which compromise metal integrity. Track wheels require crack testing and material inspection after every track day due to the stifling stress they undergo in track conditions. Metals stress under load and stretch so a track day puts lots of stress on the metal compared to a road car in street use where it meets different factors of wear and stress including to exposure to metal deterioration from common chemicals found in public access roads. But that's just my two cents

For a guy with 4 posts. ^^^^^^^^^^. Is spot on. It's hard to believe it though that a track wheel will bend under every day driving, but its true. My volks had bends in them and those were from minor pot holes. Those are beautiful wheels. I moved out of the volk work ssr wheels as well. Those are sexy rims. For that price look at hre as well. They have similar ones for dd use.

Did you have low profile tyres? That contributes to the bends. Also, it depends on the tyres design/build that can help deter bends. The bigger the belt and outer blocks the better the contact patch and stiffness, ability to take stress from cornering, the better punishment from streets it handles.
