Tire maintenance?

Since my '05 has staggered tires, what if any is suggested "rotation" or swapping of wheels to maintain tires?

Newly purchased '05 ..
Have new Continental Tires..

thanks

What kind of continentals? As in are they directional? If they are directional, since you are staggered, you cannot rotate them (as if they are designed to face one way).

My tires are directional and I am staggered, so I cannot rotate or anything like that. Really all you can do (if they cannot be rotated) is keep your pressure at the right level and make sure your car aligned.

You shouldn't rotate staggered wheels/tires. You could rotate them side to side IF they're asymmetrical tires, but definitely not if they're directional. But it's really unnecessary to even do that, sports cars aren't economical by nature and you have to take the good with the bad...tires just don't last that long on these kinds of cars. lol

You can always take them off and swap them. All the hella-flush kids have to do it every 6 months of so because of the increased inner wear.

But to answer OP. As long as your are properly aligned, you will not have to rotate tires proior to replacement.

You shouldn't rotate your tires since they're different sizes front and rear! Maintain 35 psi in your tires, make sure they're balanced to perfection. (steering wheel shouldn't vibrate at any speed on smooth surface) Have a qualified independent brake/alignment shop adjust your alignment, once done right you shouldn't need to have it done again!
