Tpms acting up

So here is something weird, I bought a set of winter wheels and tires from belle tire and we agreed to leave the tpms out of the winter wheels and I would just deal with it... Anyways, long story short, my light did not come on until today... These wheels were swapped in October,

I just though they actually swapped the tpms sensor over, anyways, how could it be that the car went since October of regular driving without a single issue?

Has this not happened to anyone? Why wouldn't my light turn on immediately after I put wheels on that had no sensors?

Question is...do you dislike the TPMS warning on your dash enough to have the sensors installed in your winter set up? You could buy a set for both winter & summer tires, then you'd just need to have them reprogramed when installing...Gary

personally i don't mind having the light while running the winter set of wheels...

the issue is, the winter wheels i have on there do NOT have the sensors in them and the light is NOT on, it came on for like a half hour while driving yesterday and then turned back off. thats why I'm so confused. The light has been off the whole time i owned the car and still did not turn on after i installed winter wheels

I don't have tpms in my summer rims. My light didn't come on until I moved my stock wheels out of the garage about a month later. It was weird.

Turns out amazon has OEM TPMS for sale for 85$ for all 4 corners. Do the reset procedure yourself and call it a day!

Ok, so I have been trouble shooting this and I cannot find why the light will not come on. I have no TPMS in my car right now and the light remains off.....

My tires are located in my garage with the TPMS still mounted in them, but even when I park the car and work and start it up there is still no TPMS light at all. now to be honest, I hate that light 110% but Im still very lost as to why its not functioning per what it is supposed to

Not sure the timeout period, but on mine it takes an EXTREMELY long time before the light comes on. I can check it with Consult and it does say basically "Hey, the TPMS are missing", but it takes a long time for the light to come back. Mine just came on today after almost a month of being out. So, I don't know exactly what thresholds are required to make that light illuminate.

I find it takes at least 20 minutes of driving at highway speeds before the TPMS light comes on.

so my tpms, used to have the same issue described above.

NOW, my tpms light is on and won't go off. I do not have any TPMS sensors and have not had any TPMS sensors even when my light was off....

any idea what the hell my car is thinking?

Do you mean your TPMS light is on all the time, whenever your car is running, even before you start driving? If so, check your brake fluid level.

^ TPMS LOL!

Op the car knows there are no TPMS sensors which is a safety issue, get them installed or live with the light.

lol,

OK sorry guys, i guess i sound stupid so let me re-explain. I took my TPMS out almost a year ago. I have been driving my car all this time daily and the light never came on...... all of the sudden the other day, it beeped a long beep and the TPMS came on and stayed on..... Meanwhile guys, I have not had TPMS sensors in almost a year! What the hell does the car think and why would it all of the sudden recognize no TPMS?
