Question Rims and Tires

Hello. I have a question for the G35DRVER members. There was a car on here called RED FURY by GR8NESS.

These are the Dimensions of the wheels and tires and pics of the car.

My question is, I have been told that the most you can go on a 04 G35 Coupe ( which is what I have ) is about 19.0 or 19.5 rims on the front, and 10.5 on the back, and not to go any wider, because you would have to roll the fenders and do other modifications to make them fit. Well this person went way pass that. And my question is what did He / She do to get these to fit, and also, could you do the same thing with 20inch rims. Im new to this, but I love the look of this G. The front tires coming outside the wheel well looks sick. I know I would have to do Coilovers, but I dont wanna do Camber Arms - dont like that look to much.

So what is the biggest rims you can do on the front and back - PERIOD? I wanna go 20's, but will do 19's if I need to - so I can get this look.

Please Help!!!!! The Midnight Blue G35 is mine. My 04 G35 Coupe is stock. No aftermarket anything.

Description:

It doesn't sound like you have a very good understanding of the relationships between tire width, camber, camber arms, rim diameter, lowering, and all the other variables that you HAVE to account for before making any decisions when it comes to your suspension/rim/tire setup. First off do some serious research and searching before delving into such a serious and expensive overhaul.

Nothing is more frustrating then being told to go search so ill start you off:
1.) IMO go with 19" diameter rims, 20's are heavier more expensive, tires are more expensive, and i think lowered G's on 19"'s look better.
2.) If you go low you will have to get camber arms to get your camber back into spec. Camber arms do not push your rims out to give the ridiculous look that you say you don't like. They are needed to straighten your rims back into the perpendicular position because the lower you go the camber increases naturally. Toe bolts may be needed as well (I have a new set for sale if your interested PM me).
3.)Rolling fenders is a must if you plan on having a setup anywhere near GR8NISS's.
4.) Invest in a quality coilover system if you are serious. I'd recomend Stance GR+.
5.) Never go half *ss on suspension/ tire/ rims
6.) There is no max rim width that you can run, it depends on your offsets.
7.) Do some serious research on the forum first, see what everyone else runs and make smart decisions from there. Goodluck man! Happy modding

^I'd highly consider the cost of all this. Stanced G's look really good, but there are sooo many hidden costs. Camber kits, more expensive tires, possible rubbing. If you intend to drive your G aggressively for the next 3-5 years, you will probably spend more on purchasing and maintaining this wheel setup in the long run then you paid for your G35 initially!!

What was said above is correct. Look I am runnint 19x11 -10 fronts and 19x12 - 5 rears. They fit... well kinda haha. I will be throwing on a widebody to my car and 30mm spacers and making everything go square but thats neither here nor there. Here is what you need if YOU EVER PLAN ON TOUCHING A STANCED SETUP

1. Fully adjustable true coilovers 1-1500 dollars OR BAGS 5k
2. New caber arms front and rear SPC or SPL work good same with Stance. Spc 500 SPL 800 Stance around 4-700 LOTS BUY THESE USED
3. Sway bars. Not necessary, but I think you should upgrade them. 300
4. If you go with a coilover setup that deletes the spring bucket get new toe arms. 300. I also recommend.
5. Quality wheels. 1-4k. BUY USED AS WELL. Some come with tires some dont
6. ROLL AND PULL YOUR FENDERS. If you want the aggressive look, YOU MUST Roll your fenders. I just say do a mild pull at the same time.

Great guys Not trying to hijack the thread but I have a 05 coupe w/sport suspension ken style body kit and vortech supercharger. I am looking for the correct offset and such so I can put some 325 to 345 on the rear I will need to roll and pull the fenders but I would enjoy not needing to run spacers.
I want to keep the height as I have a hard time now clearing.
I have 275 19s on stock rays now but still looks weak.
Looking for any info. Just hope someone has done this and can help save me much time and headaches.

Thanks..

Sorry I should have added I do not want to run wild camber or stretch the tires I have found some 19" with a 20 offset.
I do not wish to run super low profile tires as we have many potholes that eat rims.

Hey guys, Thanks for all the responses. I have come to find out and realize that I cant run a wide setup without having to put on Cambers. So I will have to run the 20x9.5 front and 20x10.5 back or 20x11 if I can make it work. We will see. I know may have to roll the fenders and get coilovers, but thats ok. I want to go as aggresive as I can but stay natural ( if you will ) lol.
