245/35/19 Front 275/30/19 Rear

for those running these tires...just wondering if there's any height difference with the smaller profile rear tire? can't seem to find a 275/35/19 in the tires i want, they only offer 275/30/19. I'm gonna stretch these on 10.5s. Or should i go with a different brand rears and get the 275/35/19??

If you can find the correct tires to run the 35 series in the rear. The overall diameter difference is like one inch. What this means is that the VDC will kick in that much sooner since it will think that you are slipping a little earlier versus on a diameter that is one inch larger. The VDC works on wheel revolutions (if I am not mistaken), thus..greater revolutions in a shorter time frame = wheel slippage to the computers thinking = engage VDC to slow down the slippage. Its really up to you, though in the pot hole infested roads in Hawaii...I would strongly suggest the higher amount of tire profile. Tires are waaaaay more inexpensive versus a damaged rim.

In the 275/35 19 sizes......there are many brands. Bridgestone, Dunlop, Goodyears, Pirellis, Michelin, and BF Goodrich. If you are trying to run Falkens...I dont think that they make that size. I am running 2 diffferent brands of tires from the front and rears though...no major problems. You just shouldnt run two different tires on each side though.

The point being - Ther're lot's of 275/35/19s out there. You really want to maintain the factory stagger. Look at Dunlop SP9000s, IMO, they are a great performance tire at a modest price.

i second this. do a search about this tire. Toyo T1s'. i've got them in 275/35/19. these tires are fcukin' mean, reels. they're light too. lighter than falken's. search euro/jdm forums about these stretched...it's beautiful too. if you choose 35's, then you have to roll your fender if you go lower than the stech. if you run over crazy bumps you'll rub with just the stechs. being that it's 10.5's too, it will be safer for "hawaii!" we will have potholes regardless. people need jobs here. reels.

good luck. btw, what the crap do you do???

yeah, jdb got 275/30/19 Falken ST-115's on his 10.5 GT-C's. it's also not his only ride. damn, you're crazy mang!! slammin' the coupe is nuts! doesn't the coupe already hang low as s.hit? i'm only 1" lower and i don't clear a lot of places! if i never had my Data System's Labia i might clear. i'd say if you got money to spend, order another 10.5 rim just in case you kill it on our "beautiful" roads!! hawaiiroadssuckcack.

the overall diameter on the 275/35/19 and 285/35/19 are a lot closer to the overall diameter of the stock OE size rear tire. if i were you, i would pick either the Toyo T1-S or the Falken FK451 GR-Beta. Both are priced well and have good quality and performance. if you don't mind your speedometer reading off then go for the 275/30/19.

Okay...with the +17 offset...yeah you better roll those fenders BEFORE you use the 275/35 19. I am pretty positive that you will be hitting the lip of the inner fender and after constant rubbing, chances are you will be cutting into the tire itself...and its going to be the sidewalls. Also the rubbing might cause the paint to chip and peel... = areas for rust to set in.

If you dont believe me..well I am running a +12 offset. You might want to look at mine before you mount yours so you have some sort of an idea on what you are getting yourself into.

There are other ways around this though. Just got to be a little creative and wonder off the path of every day people thinking....... You can still get the look of the wider stance without getting really wide tires.

BTW..those are going to be some wicked looking lips...but make sure you dont catch a curb as well.

I have to agree with everyone else. The offsets will make a difference compared to rolling fenders, and the case of the VDC interpretting wheel spin on a lower profile tire.

Im using 275/35/19 on the rear and so far I get a slight rub due to the +22 offset and using S-tech's. So keep in mind everyones opinions. If youre thinking about 30 series tires, stop to think about the "MANY" potholes in Hawaii. I just hit a pothole a week ago and trust me, its not a pretty sight.
