Tein Basic Dampers Coilover Setup - G35 Coupe

I just finished test fitting the Tein basic dampers suspension kit and I highly recommend this kit when and if it is released. The ride is comfortable but tight while cornering. It also lowers the G35 coupe a little over 2.5 inches in the rear and the skies the limit for the front. I've lowered my car to a half finger all around which is about .75 inches more in the front and 1 inch more in the back vs. the Eibach Pro Kit springs. I have 20 inch wheels and there is no rubbing whatsoever. I will hopefully have new pictures by this weekend. However, my car is "riced" out (stupidest term I've ever heard) with manufacturer decals, since this car was used for a car show this past weekend so I'm a little skeptical of putting pictures up since many of you G35ers seem not to totally understand the aftermarket industry in terms of the required promotional circumstances.

Screw 'em, I really want to see a G35 that has been dropped more than the eibachs give you.

i talked to TEIN the other day and they said that the 350Z Flex kit fits and rides fine, which also means you can use the EDFC with it...so is the Basic kit a whole new setup??? more aggressive?? or more aimed towards comfort? just curious as to why they haven't mentioned this on there webpage

This is a prototype set-up Tein used on my car. Its different from the Flex set-up in that it does not have the 16 level adjustment and isn't compitable with the EDFC. As to when they will have information regarding the setup or when its going to be released, I'm not sure.

it looks nice but you say it lowers the back by 2.5 inches with 18s isent taht going to be way to much. Also some one said the 350 kit works. Do you think that this is the best road to go or should i just go with the eibach prokit

Re: Tein Basic Dampers Coilover Setup - G35 Coupe

These Teins have matched dampers (struts) with them. Unless you found upgraded struts to match the prokits in place of your stock struts, the Tien's will be superior, for a price of course. But then again, Eibach doesn't want you to know it takes more then just springs to get your suspension right.

It should really be understood that all the coilovers you'll look at are engineered with matching dampers. And it's a safe bet they they will all be stiffer (some more than others) then any lowering spring. Problem is, no one offers a aftermarket strut to go with stiffer lowering springs. Thank god Koni sports come out this fall.

Dude ... Djcue has 20s on there...and no .. 2.5 inches will not be too much, for the 20s let alone the 18s ...

Dj.... dude .. you car looks wicked ... you have ANY idea of what this kit ...( I know its prototyped) will cost?

and do they want a fully loaded black 6speed up in Toronto to prototype for shows as well?

(P.S as you can tell by the picture ... (YOU GOT EXACTLY WHAT I WANT)
