17" aluminum spare

I was curious as to whether my 06 g35 X had a full size spare so I lifted the mat in the trunk and I found this. A fifth aluminum 17 inch 7 spoke wheel. is this standard? I've searched the forums and see that they all come with a full size spare but haven't seen anything about an actual aluminum 17.

Your question asks if it is standard...No. But it is Normal. It was an option. The full size spare is a real rim. I have one too...Which would be funny with custom wheels. I should buy the spare from 3 people and have an OEM set.

Thanks Katman! I'm going to hijack my own thread now, of your mods which one has been the most noticeable for performance gains or which has been the best value?

Your thread....Your hijack.....Now aside from the most recent upgrade....Just bought a 2015 Q50S, and I am loving it, I am going to have to stick to this category and say I absolutely love my Volks. The wheels are beautiful. I had some issues with some tires being put on. I had to have them refurbished. They are still nce, but it did take away from the original mirror shine of the wheels. But they have also caused me the most ill. Having to get the fenders rolled twice. I would have gone for a slightly less aggressive offset. But they are nice. Really nice.

I would have to say the Motordyne spacer is very worthwhile....bang for the buck might be the K&N drop in filter.

I am much more the poser than most of the guys here that know everything about their cars and what is most worthwhile. I love the car. I even like and believe in my grounding kit.

Most of my stuff is more for show than go. And I am pretty much the only one that would see it....But I like it.
