TPMS Light

So last night, my TPMS light started flashing when I cranked the car, and after about 30 seconds, it stays on.

After a quick search, it looks like a bad sensor or battery (same difference from what I gather).

Does anyone have any tips on replacing these with as much DIY as possible? All the threads I dug up basically said to go to the dealer.

There are a ton of these sensors on eBay, but I'd like to know which ones fit my 06 Coupe and if I can intall them, then have the dealer "program" them or whatever.

Thanks!

You have to remove the tires from the wheels to install them. If you can do this installation is a breeze.

We have the oem sensors if you need them. Tire must come off the wheel to replace it and the new one needs to be programmed by dealer or similar for the car to recognize it.

Major tire stores can solve this issue for you, no need to visit the stealership and pay their jacked up prices! They'll be able to tell you which sensor is bad and replace it, including programming. Our Nissan vendor wanted $420 which included our discount for all four sensors delivered, I bought them online for $120...what was I thinking?

Thanks! I'll stop by my tire shop and see what they can do.

I really don't want to pay the dealership for the whole job, or even for programming if I can avoid it. i'm not at all opposed to dropping coin on the car, just not with the dealership

You can buy schrader or dill redi sensors that work flawlessly for significantly less than what you'd pay at the dealer. I personally have gotten mine replaced at costco and it's a good deal there.
