Need Your Expertise!

Gentlemen,

I need some help. Before you tell me to do research I want you to know that I have been researching and scouring the threads for two hours last night and an hour today. Most of the answers are technical and way beyond my understanding in terms of wheel offsets and tires and how the combination are in parallel with each other making a good fit for my car.

I have a 2003 G35 Coupe, 100% stock. I picked up some 19's Niche Verona's and the tires have the following set up, I want to know if the tires will rub in any way shape or form:

Fronts: (19x8.5 w) 265/35ZR19
Rears: (19x9.5 w) 285/35ZR19

Thanks fella's

Paul

imo the tires are a size or two, too big
for those widths i personally would rather have
a 245f/265r /35/19

so basically throw that 265 on your rears and go buy a smaller size for the fronts.

i have a 285 on a 10.5 and its pretty meaty. i cant imagine it on a 9.5 and looking decent.

but you wont rub assuming youre not slammed crazy low.
make sure these wheels clear brembos (if you have them)

Thanks for the response jerseytaylor. I would have tried them on to find out for myself, but I'm in Chicago and its dead winter/snowing/icy out. I have to wait until it gets nicer out to put them on.

I will def consider your recommendations. I plan on getting better tires in the future and will look into swapping tire sizes. My dilemma is the rubbing because I would like to use them until I save some funds for better tires.

My car is not slammed at all. No brembos either. If I can get by using the current setup for a few months would be great.

True
No fun until spring for most of us.

But as far as the tires go they won't be a problem. They may be bulging out a bit but you will still be fine to use them

Hi Paul, Jersey is partially correct, the 265's on the front could be a push! However, the real answer to your question is in the offset of those Verona's! What were they on before you bought them? I just installed a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport 285's for the back of SLICK with the same size rim without issues but my offset is mid 20's! Good Luck, when the sun comes out try them on...Gary

he's only asking about rubbing
Niche most likely doesn't make crazy negative offsets -plus he's at stock height.

A possible issue is if he will clear his suspension components -good chance he will

We've had members on here who have run 275s on their rear OEM 8.5" rays "with no issues"

Recommendable
Nope
Lol

Thanks for the feed back! I knew I could count you in to respond you always have since day 1. The offset on the Verona's are 35mm. Oh and they were not on anything I got them brand spanking new, tires and all from a guy on CL.

I hope so, I only need it to work for a few months and don't want to deal with rubbing, what do you think about the offset at 35mm?

Paul, I'd be very concerned about those front tires/wheels with the 35 offset running 265's! They might hit the suspension going thru down hill tight turns. I was there with my first set of Volks, high offsets running 245's hit the front suspension...scary **** jerking the steering wheel from my hands! You're going to need spacers, my .02c

Way too high of an offset bruh, get spacers or different tires...maybe even a camber kit to dial in the right stance you want.
245/40/19
275/35/19
I had the 275s on a stock g37 wheel (19x9) +20 with spacer and never had rubbing issues.
My .02

The "Tire Rack" is the best place to buy tires, they sell for wholesale and deliver to your door or shop of your choice. All you need to do is pay for installation!
