Buyers beware if you are planning on getting Axis rims, I went to a local customizing shop this weekend looking at rims because i have been thinking about buying the new axis spider rims in 19x8, well the salesman said they wouldnt get them for a few more weeks so he said he would call axis and check on prices and fitments, etc. well when i called him back today he told me the people at axis said unless you go with a 9 or 10 inch wide rim, (axis rims only), you will need to use 20mm spacers (new studs too) at every corner to make it look right, so the tire wont be so far in. something about the way they make their rims, the hub isnt as thick as some other brands, etc, regardless of offsets. so now im thinking about getting the se7en mod in 20x9 and 20x10. really bummed me out b/c i wanted those spiders. just letting you guys know so you wont buy 7 or 8 inch wide axis rims and they end up looking like crap. sorry big_h, hope this doesnt hurt sales, good info for you to know also. oh yeah that reminds me big_h, i was quoted 1900 for se7en mod 20x9 and 20x10, can you beat that?

No problem thanks for the heads up. The 20mm spacers have been addressed for the axis wheels in earlier posts. I have re-worked my pricing to offset the extra cost that is incurred by buying spacers. I emailed everyone that i have been working with the new prices. for those of you who have emailed me in the last couple of weeks, you have been quoted the reworked prices. Tig, I'll be sending you a quote later on tonight.

thats correct, 1900 for the set 20x9 (2) and 2x10 (2) chrome, with tires it will come out to around 3200$, tires were a bit pricey because of a high quality 300 tread wear tire since there will be no rotating.

that's why most that have it looking good get it custom made for the car. on this car you must really do your homework when it comes to wheels. you can't just put anything on it or it will look like some garbage. IMO

 

Question...I ordered he Axis Supermesh 18x8 and I just called the shop regarding the 20mm spacer issue and they indicated that I will NOT need this since I do not have the Brembo package.

Is this true for the sedan? Are the 20mm spacers only applicable to the coupe?

im not sure if this will affect the sedans or coupes without brembos, the only thing the rep said was that the spacers would make the rims more flush with the fender, he didnt mention the brembo issue at all, but i did talk to the guys at next level performance again today and they are gonna order a set for the store and im gonna go by there and we are gonna put them on and see if it works.

oh yeah sorry big_h, we didnt discuss any tire brands, he just said he would find the best tires with the best tread wear ratings, probably either toyo, nitto, dunlop or pirelli. and where is my quote?

WOW thats a great price..you post that you got it at that price, but you don't mention from where you bought them from...why? The whole deal for me is to make sure everyone gets a good deal... through me or not. So again, why don't you post where you bought it from so everyone can get the good deal?
