Post Stock 18s.... are the rear and front rims exactly the same?

I tried searching couldn't find much about it.
I know the tire size is different and that right on the rim it states rear or front. But are they really different in any way?
My front right rim got damaged from a bad pothole (from these crazy LA rains). There is a rear rim that I can buy but I want to make sure it'll be fine before I do.
Thanks for the help!

It will work fine and they are the same size. However, the front wheels have extra space on the back of the wheel to clear an extra "bolt". You will have to remove the extra "bolt" that prevents you from putting rear wheels on the front. Its basically a fool proof method to keep people from putting the rear wheels with the wrong tire size on the front. Its not a big deal and everyone with aftermarket wheels has to remove it.

right, both are 18x8 +30mm offset from what I read here.
Just using wider tires on the rear on the same 18x8.

Yes, I am 100% sure. They are sitting in my garage right now and are all clearly stamped 18 x 8 JJ, +30.

1nate7,
you mentioned in your earlier post about the extra bolt that has to be removed. I should be receiving my after market 19s in about a week. 19x9, 19x10...will I therefore have to remove this bolt your speaking of? You say 'back of the wheel' but I am having a hard time trying to picture that in my head!! O only ask because you mentioned everyone with aftermarket wheels has to remove it!!

I was kind of vague and in this case a picture would be easily worth a thousand words. I searched and found the related threads but the pics weren't working. You will see what I am talking about when you take off your front wheels. In addition to the 5 lug bolts, there is another bolt that doesn't stick out quite as far. When you try to mount your wheel, it will slide almost all the way on and the back side of the hub will hit that bolt. It will prevent you from getting the wheel all the way on. It is just a bolt with a sleeve around it and screws right out, 12mm I believe. The stock front wheels are the only ones I know of that have the proper clearance for this bolt. Hopefully this cleared it up a little.

yeah, I think its a 12mm.. I had someone hold the brake pedal so I could loosen it. Its just threaded into the rotor, very hard to miss really..

12mm. I took it off a few weeks ago when I got my SSR's. I remember reading about
it and forgot about removing the thing and bonk! when I tried putting my new
wheels on. You can't miss it. It's only threaded like 3-4 turns.

Yeah, stocks are 18x8 all the way around. 225/45/18 tires up front and 245/45/18 tires in rear.

stock 19's are the same front and rear 30mm. I just sold a set and they were both stamped 30mm.
