I-Forged 19" Evolutions
I-Forged 19" Evolutions
Hey guys, I am going to be buying a set of used I-forged 19" chrome evolution wheels. The wheels have about 15k miles on them. There is a brand new set of Goodyear Eagel F1 GS-D3's on them. The owner claims there are some small dings on the front two wheels (is getting me pictures this week) and says the dings appraised to be about 250 each wheel to fix. He was asking 2250 + shipping for the whole package and i got him down to 2,000 + shipping.
Front: 19x8 245/35/19 Rear:19x10 275/35/19
Need opinions: Good price for what I would get? Any bad experiences with used wheels?
Thanks a lot,
-Mike

If they are used chrome, its best to personally inpect those wheels IMO. Any nicks or chips on chrome wheels will start the peeling process of the chrome and may get worst over time. You really cant fix chrome wheels, they need to be re-chromed. Thats at least $175-300 per wheel to re-chrome on 20's. Thats the problem with having chrome rims. Polish wheels are easier to fix as far as nicks, chips or scratches. Also if the Iforged rims are 2-piece wheels, you cant get them re-chromed, due to centers are welded on.

For $2k shipped, I would jump all over these... worse comes to worst, you could get them completely refinished and like brand new and STILL save about $500-1000 over a new set and not have to worry about the headaches of waiting and dealing with IForged...
So, I'd jump all over them if I were you...

AGREE
$2000 shipped is an attractive price, but I do also recommend to check them out in person; otherwise you will stuck with this set for $2000 CASH
Good luck, man, hope to you got a good set
I strongley suggest not doing it. I beleive the 19'' iForged wheels are 2-Piece, i think all their wheels are 2-Piece. The problem with that is that it wont cost you $250.00 just for the refinish. You have to remember the inner part of the rim is going to have to be welded out to get it refinshed and recoated the right way. You will end up spending as much for probably some new rims. It may be possible, but they wont look brand new ever in my opinion.
