Se7en Mods (imagination required)

I had some spare time during lunch today so I went ahead and put on the 2 rear wheels. The fronts will take longer since I need to replace the wheel studs so I won't get to those until next week.

But to just give you an idea on how they look here are some pics.

The wheel is a 20x10, 3.75in lip, +38 offset. The tire is a Falken FK-451 285/30/20. The wheel extends 17mm (.68in) farther outside than stock and 33mm (1.32in) farther in than stock. I used open end 60 degree conical seat lug nuts.

Hopefully I can get some better pics next week b/c these just don't do the wheel justice. Maybe someone can photoshop the wheels onto the front too....

Re: Se7en Mods (imagination required)

So you couldn't get a front wheel in the size you wanted with the correct offset? No 20x8 or 20x8.5 with 35 to 38 mm backspace? That would allow a 245/35/20....

Re: Se7en Mods (imagination required)

All they had in 20s was the 20x9 which was wider than i wanted to go. So i decided to go with the 19x8. The tires will have the exact same sidewall size so it shouldn't look too bad.

Going from a 225/45/18 to a 245/35/20 was about a +3% difference, I kinda wanted to stay closer to stock diameter. A 245/35/19 is a -0.8% difference.

I did get the 19x8 with a +35 offset but that doesn't clear the brembos, so that's the reason for the spacer and extended wheel studs. I don't think Axis will make a custom offset either.

Got it. You're going with 19's in the front, with a tire that's 25.74in tall, vs. the stock 25.96. When I got my wheels, I wanted some thing a little taller, to fill out the wheel wells so my car wouldn't look like a 4X4....
