suspension advice please
i'm thinking about going aftermarket suspension.eventhough i don't really need it.i drive the car everyday and don't go to track.so not looking for aggressive setting.also not looking for any drop.with all that in mind, which set up is more suitable for me? thanks
Tokico D-Spec Adjustable Shocks and Stillen Sway Bars would be my choice if looking for better handling with no drop and wouldnt be very aggressive if the shocks are set soft.
PS: these are not on my car but ive been reading a lot about the 2 products and will be future purchases for my ride. Good luck

I have Stillen Sway bars and Tein H-Tech springs. They are great products. IFor the sway bars, I put my front setting on the sofest and the rear on the hardest. The springs I have a a little tougher than the stock. There aren't camber issues with mine and they ride a perfect hight (i.e. not too low... just perfect). They make the car handle like a dream.
I have the Tokico Dspec shocks, Espelir active gt springs which only give you a 10mm drop and the 350 evo front and rear swaybars going on on Monday.I'll let you know what I think when they go on.I'll probably set the sways to soft front and rear to start so I can get a feel for the springs and shocks first then adjust the sways.I plan on setting the shocks at 4.5 full turns and go from there but I'll keep you posted.

I am in the same boat. I want the car to be handle better by lowering slightly, with better shocks and stiffer sway bars, but still be comfortable and not rattle apart. I live in California where the roads are bumpy and "dicy". I installed Eibachs/Bilsteins on my Trans Am and ended up re-installing the stock springs. I don't want to go "put, put" over speed bumps and dips just to look a little cooler. The H-Techs for the G sound like the amount of lowing I want, but I've concerned beacause I've heard the rear springs are less aggressive than stock. Maybe with better shocks and stiffer sways it would be a perfect match. One guy mentioned in a post that the less aggressive rear springs would be better for F.I. because of bounce and power. Inputs anybody?

Steve i have gone through 2different suspension types. I started out with the JIC's were way to agressive. Then i sold them and went to HKS, i didnt like them compared to the JICs because were too wimpy for me. So then i went back to JIC. Personally from what i hear, i think your best bet will be to get Tein Flex Coilovers with EDFC. Reason being you can control it much easier.
As for sways. Definitly get Hotchkis Sways. They are awesome. You will gave enough just from those sways. Next i would get the stillen ones.
Talk to Clint he knows he stuff about suspensions

TINMAN, your criteria is a bit of better handling, no drop, and retain the comfort. Then I would suggest just adding either the Tokico D-Specs or the Koni shocks with your oem coupe springs. The Tokicos are both simultaneous rebound and compression adjustable. The Konis are rebound adjustable only. You can dial those in to the way you like then you can dial in your sway bars too after that. I would also suggest Tein H-techs for the 350Z but that wouldn't satisfy your no drop factor. But yeah, hit up THX723 or Gsedan35. They will have good advice for you.

after done some research.i kinda like Tokico D-specs and Tein H-techs combination.
true that the springs lower the car but not that much.only about .600" front and .300" rear.i can live with that.thoughts?

Steve,
I have the Tein 350Z H-Techs, which dropped the G35C around .7" & .6" - a liitle firmer than the G Springs. I love the ride with much improved handling (Sways also). I heard some good things about the Tokicos.
If interested, we can always just trade cars. What do you think? j/k
