Re: one size up....

No way dude, that too big of a tire. Check out the sticky at the top of this forum with the wheel size/tire size calculators to figure out what size will be closest to stock diameter while plus sizing your wheels.

Re: one size up....

gump,

Those are correct to stay close to the stock overall diameter.

Stock front: 25.8"
Stock rear: 26.8"

245/35/19: 25.9"
275/35/19: 26.5"

All other sizes of 19" will be further off... not sure what Raj is speaking of...

Also,

Dont go by the numbers a tire size calculator gives you. They make their own estimates on tire sizes.

Example...

Stock 18" front tire is 225/45/18 which the Bridgestone site says is 25.8" yet a tire size calcultor will give 26" or 26.1"

The stock sizes are: 25.8"f/26.8"r as per the tire manufacturer. I would pick some tires you are interested in and go to their website to compare specs.

Re: one size up....

The tire size calculators gives you a close estimate, based on the exact measurement of, say, "225/55R17". However, a tire may really be a "223/56R17" while another brand may be producing a "226/54.5R17" or something. The actual tires are close. I'd say the difference between a theorical tire size and an actual tire size is much less than the difference between the stock size and the size you're aiming at running, so it's not that big a deal. But yeah, looking up the actual brand/model dimensions, either diameter or revs per mile, and comparing that to the stock tires would be a little more accurate.

Don't forget, over the life of the tire, depending on the initial tread depth, you'll loose 1/8" to 1/4" of tread, which makes the overall tire diameter shrink 1/4" to 1/2". So in the end, close is good enough.

I'm not upset, but if you are going to ask for help or advice and someone actually offers it to you....then its annoying when you go back and edit you post to make the person trying to help you look dumb. In this case it was me. Just some advice...since now i'd actually be kind of reluctant to help you with any questions you have in the future. I'd think it was funny see you trying to put 19s on your car with 245/55/19s
