Angry Drift Not Fixed; Infinite Infiniti Runaround

In Dec. 03, I posted a thread stating that even though factory technicians test drove my car (2004 6MT) and agreed that the drift to the right was out of spec per the TSB, the dealership would not fix the car, insisting that the fix did not work. An alignment was performed but the drift was worse afterward. I reported this to the dealership (Tustin, CA) with no response. I have since gone to Discover Infiniti in San Diego and they say the car is within spec. My own experience is otherwise no matter what road I am driving on. I have reported this issue to Infiniti Customer Service. The Customer Service Rep interviewed both dealerships and now Tustin says factory technicians never drove the car. They also said the alignment fixed the problem per their own road test. They are flat out lying. Discover Infiniti gave me a hard time when I mentioned having a copy of the TSB. They insisted it was not accurate so I asked what the differences were. They would not show me their documentation and would not answer any questions.

Basically, I am frustrated and if anyone else is annoyed at having to replace tires every 10-20K miles because of a design flaw in these cars, and having to listen to excess road noise and the thumping of lopsided tires from uneven wear, I would like to be part of a class action law suit. I have never had a car that changes lanes on its own when all front end parts and tires were within spec. Infiniti has arbitrarily set a seven second lane change time which is absolutely meaningless. We should not tolerate poor designs and fixes to those problems.

And, by the way, when I told the Customer Service Rep that my car has a never-ending list of rattles, she said I was the first case she had ever heard of complaining about rattles. That shows you they are either not listening or also lying to protect the company.

the new compression rod definately helped my 03's drift alot. However, with or without it, I wasnt getting uneven tire wear.

steps to take
1. if youre still on the original tires and they dont need replacing, go to gsp9700.com and find a hunter balancing machine near you. You need the StraightTrak LFM version to find any possible slipped belts in your tires. If new tires do this, forget this.

2. Get a print out of the alignment specs and post it here. Peeps who have done alot of suspension work will know if you're ok or not.

3. finally, take it to a body shop and have them check the frame alignment. The service manual dictates where everything should be (measurements). Cars can take a hard bump or drop in transit. You'd never know.
